Bobo FreeRiding School invites you to a variety of watersports activities including kitesurfing, wing foiling, laser sailing, kayaking and more. Founded by Bobo, the very first IKO-certified (International Kiteboarding Organization) instructor on Rodrigues Island, Bobo FreeRiding School has grown into a passionate team eager to share their skills and love for water sports with you.

At Bobo Free Riding School, every lesson is custom-tailored to your level, ensuring it is fun and safe. With two safety boats on standby, you can get into the water with peace of mind.
Already a Pro or just want to rent some equipment?
If you are an experienced kite surfer, and know how to handle a kite surfboard, or laser boat. Or even if you want to rent a kayak or a paddle board. Good News, you can rent one with us – a wide range of quality equipment is available.
More Than Just Watersports
It is all Adventure; from learning how to kitesurf to downwind and sundowner trips to islands. You will have tailor-made water activities, for sundowner you can enjoy home-made delices on remote islands and so much more. For your booking it is easy, contact us on the provided contact details. Scooters are also available.
▪️KiteSurfing is using a surfboard on water with a kite attached to you by harness.
Experience: No experience required
Requirement: Ability to swim
Minimum Age: Children aged 10 to 12 years (minimum 25kg) are allowed only under parental supervision
Group Size: From 4 people up to larger groups (with a maximum of two clients per monitor)
Duration: 3 sessions of 2 hours recommended

Rental equipment and gear are made available with or without boat surveillance on standby as requested.
➡️Kite Foiling for intermediate and Pro only
▪️Kite Foiling is using an hydro form board, instead of a regular surfboard. The hydro form board lifts you above the water. It still uses a regular kite.
Requirement: Ability to swim, kitesurfing experience
Duration: 1h 30 mins
Safety and Equipment: Same as for Kitesurf
Rental equipment and gear are made available with or without boat surveillance on standby as requested.
▪️Wing Foiling is using an inflatable wing. It does not use a handheld kite like kitesurfing and kite foiling.
Requirement: Ability to swim, high tides required
Duration: Tailor-made
Safety and Equipment: Same as for Kitesurf but followed by a permanent surveillance boat.
Rental equipment and gear are made available with boat surveillance.
For Pro only
Rental equipment and gear are made available with or without boat surveillance on standby as requested.

▪️A kayak is a narrow, open or enclosed boat that you sit in and paddle using a double-bladed paddle.
Single and double kayaks are available.

▪️Downwind by kite surf to île aux Chats
Enjoy experiences such as sundowner tours usually done in groups by KiteSurfing to the Islets, followed by a safety boat.
Once on the chosen islet, home-made food and BBQs is served, vegetarian and non vegetarian food are available.

No, our beginner lessons are designed for complete newcomers, starting from basic kite handling to safe riding techniques. However, the ability to swim is important.
Yes, we offer both private and group lessons on request.
Yes, we can personalize packages that include lessons and even adventure add-ons. Contact us to create your plan.
If you are interested to kite surf in group, send your request by email and we will respond to you.
Rentals is easy with on-site rental and return. We always recommend to call beforehand. For special requests, please contact us.
Most sessions last 2 hours, depending on energy level, the wind, and your personal progression. We keep it fun and safe.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sea-safe sunscreen, and your good vibe.
If you have glasses or sunglasses bring a strap as well.
Yes. If weather conditions aren’t safe, we will let you know in advanced.
Down payment is usually not always required. For some activities or rentals, we can ask down payment or full payment beforehand.
We treat the Rodrigues lagoon like our home. Our activities are run with deep respect for nature and the local ecosystem.
